Dryers aren't as flashy as washers, so I wasn't expecting to be immediately wowed. I just needed a dryer; I wanted one made in the USA that promises to last longer than 6 or 7 years, so I got this Speed Queen. I was pleased to actually find it leaps and bounds above my old Samsung. The sensor dry actually gets the load dry without me needing to restart it one or two extra cycles. The cool down tumble helps the clothes feel cool and less wrinkled by the time I take them out. I love this dryer! When we need a new washer, we will definitely buy Speed Queen!

Seems to be a very well built machine. Washes seem pretty quick. My wife is satisfied that it cleans better than our previous machine. It was a whirlpool. They just don't build things as good as they used to. Hope we have years of trouble free service.

I have only had this dryer for 3 weeks or so now, that being said, I do love this dryer, love the design, the size, the entire look of it. I have had to turn it back on a couple of times to finish drying clothes, not sure if I am doing something wrong or if it is the dryer itself, trying to figure that one out, so not blaming that on the dryer right now. But as of now I would recommend this dryer for sure. I do have more peace of mind with the longer warranty than any other brands, I might add that was a main purchase point for me. Feels more like the appliances that use to be made back in the day when they lasted longer.

It dries clothes as advertised. The problem is the noise. From day one it made a horible metalic, high pictched noise. I recorded a video of the dryer in action and took it to the appliance store where I purchased . The store owner asked if I had a cat in the dryer. He said there is clearly an issue and scheduled a repair man to come out the next day. The repair man showed and after scratching his head and dismantling the dryer he called SQ to talk with their techical team. The repair man said he was advised to oder a part from SQ which may or may not fix the noise issue. Fast forward, its been over a month since the repair man came out and the dryer still isn't fixed. I call the repair shop weekly for an update, but they say SQ has not shipped the part and will not give an update on when the part will be sent.
I bought a SQ washer and dryer for their dependable reputaion and warrentee. For the cost of the unit, I expted a better product and better coustomer support. Unfortunatly, I was wrong and should have kept my achient dryer. It was ugly, it took a little longer to dry, but it was quiet.
If someone at SQ reads this, please help. I'll gladly edit my review if you fix the noise issue with my SQ dryer.

This washer is simplistic on design doing the job it is meant to do. For me the extra bells and whistles on other machines equals more maintenance issues. I really appreciate being able to lift the lid during fill to wash out laundry soap cup and mix in the soap prior to loading clothes. The deep fill ensures your clothes actually get moved in water, therefore truly cleaning. This machine being made here in the US also made this purchase a great one. Highly recommend!!

Very durable, quiet, and easy to use. Good Warranty. My one complaint is that it does not have a HIGH setting for drying as my last machine had, and therefore, if I am drying towels or sheets, I have to add another 20 minutes or so to get them fully dry.

The control on the dryer is not good. It is very hard to set on the position you want. The washer controls are not good. I would like to run a small amount of water in, put in soap and agitate to mix soap and water then let it fill up. I would also like to have a light setting for clothes that I don't want to agitate long. I figure a man who had never done laundry designed these. I had a set I bought in 2011 and they were wonderful.

Decided to purchase this product based on reviews and 5-year warranty. The multiple settings provide a lot of options. The dryer seems to take a little bit longer than others I have had to fully dry the clothes, but the clothes come out less wrinkled. I particularly like the lint filter and the ability to unscrew it to be able to vacuum out the area behind it.

This dryer is really great, but one problem that just grates on my nerves to no end. The lint trap is open on the bottom front. When I open the door, dress pants, socks, etc fall into it and get lint stuck to it and I have to throw it back in and try to catch the clothes before they hit the trap, which is almost impossible. My husband ended up doing some research and he said they used to come with a lint trap cover, so he went on amazon and sure enough he was able to purchase a grate to cover it so clothes do not fall into it anymore! This is a MUST have for this dryer, why it was designed like that is beyond me, but thank god for the after market cover. The cover is simple and just sits over it and easy to lift off to remove the lint after each load.

My new dryer performs very well. The clothes come out wrinkle free. However, it does not come with any instructions and it is very difficult to determine what settings to use for the different types of fabric. It is also difficult to set the dial on the proper setting, i.e., max dry vs. more dry. It does not "click" into place.

Speed Queen dryer failed 3 years into 5 year warranty. Parts not avaiable so after a couple months dryer replaced with new one. That dryer lasted all of 1 month before it failed in a way repair guy had never seen. After another month plus, another dryer arived and is three weeks old. So far, all is well.

Very Disappointed. My 1994 Mytag did a better job and had features making it easier to use. It would have helped to have an owners manual delivered with the machine. I mailed in the card and am still waiting for the manuals that I ordered after installing the machine.
